Some of the best advice I ever received is: If you want to be a writer, make friends with a writer. But it can be hard to meet writers if you have no experience or connections. That’s why ITC partnered with NBCUniversal Launch for an exclusive Writer’s Mixwe on October 3rd to foster relationships between aspiring diverse creatives and working writers. Selected participants attended an intimate panel with NBCU Launch alumni Julian Johnson (BEL AIR), Sebastian Rea (JOHN WAYNE GACY) and Michael Pogarian and Robert Baltazar, who oversee the creative talent programs across the NBCUniversal TV portfolio. The panel was followed by a networking mixer where new screenwriters had the opportunity to meet, connect, and build community with one another and professionals.
